Experts Offer Tips To New Parents

“Hang in There” cards provide new parents with doctor-approved tips.

Pediatrician Dr. Gina Penaflor, left, and school psychologist Dr. Patricia Gage, right, created Hang in There.

Newborns may not come with a manual, but pediatrician Dr. Gina Penaflor and school psychologist Dr. Patricia Gage offer a useful alternative with their aptly named, palm-size deck of cards “Hang in There.”

Debuting at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market July 11-18, the tip cards cover topics such as basic first aid, sleep, temper tantrums, potty training and milestones for baby development. “Think of these guides as Mother’s Little Helpers,” advised Gage, a 30-year veteran in school psychology, and Penaflor, a hospital, ER and primary care pediatrician.

The card sets are split into three themes: infant, toddler and first aid. To learn more, visit www.HangNThere.com.
