New York-based Pinc Premium is taking its trend-driven denim up a notch, adding junior sizes starting with fall immediates. “We don’t do ‘baby-ish’ styles, so a lot of our designs readily translate,” spokeswoman Hilary Waterous said at last week’s ENK Children’s Club show, pointing to the latest collection, which includes boyfriend jeans, paint-splattered destroyed denim and a variety of skinny silhouettes. “We offer our line down to toddler; it just made sense to bring it up.”

Current retail accounts that offer junior clothing—such as Lester’s in the New York region—have already picked up the larger sizes, and Waterous noted Pinc Premium will also target stores that concentrate on junior lines. Pinc Premium is also offering retailers great margins, with wholesale prices ranging from $22 to $28 and suggested retail prices between $68 and $72. “We’ve had a really good reaction so far,” Waterous added.
