Chalking it up to “abnormally fast thumbs,” a 17-year-old Wisconsin boy was named the fastest texter in Amer- ica for the second year in a row this summer. It should come as no surprise that kids are pros at sending instant messages, texts and tweets. After all, a recent Verizon Wireless survey found that the average age for a child to get a cell phone is 11. The wearers of these message tees and one-pieces are about a decade away from having their own Twitter accounts, but they still have plenty to announce to the world. From inspirational words and silly catch phrases to the kind of banter about poo that only an adorable infant can get away with, message tees are a fun way to translate “goo goos” and “ga- gas”—at least until the tot’s hand-eye coordination is texting-ready. —Angela Velasquez
