Full Bloom

A refreshing new take on tried-and-true floral-print is taking root in kidswear.

An array of womenswear designers like Thom Browne and Carolina Herrera flexed their green thumbs on Spring ’15 runways, so it’s no surprise that a refreshing new take on tried-and-true floral-print is taking root in kidswear, too. Next year, bold brushstrokes bring botanical gardens to life on an array of little girls’ dresses, shirts and skirts. With patterns reminiscent of Claude Monet’s water lilies and Vincent van Gogh’s sunflowers, flowers for spring are anything but boring. Add bold, blown-up shapes and a brooding color palette, and the print makes a perfect canvas for fall styles, too.
