Retail Math Seminar
Join C.A.R.A. for its second retail math seminar, held at ENK’s Children’s Club show in the Jacob Javits Center in New York on March 9. The seminar is designed to help retailers develop buying plans, calculate open-to-buy, determine markups and markdowns, and figure out net profit. The panelists will include:

Vincent Quan
In addition to being a professor at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Vincent has conducted similar seminars for clients like Tahari and Vera Wang. His background also includes tenure as vice president of retail and manufacturing planning and inventory control.

Herbert Winkler
Herb is CEO of SCORE in New York, which provides free professional counseling, guidance and information to help America’s small businesses succeed. He also has a combined 35 years in the children’s wear industry, including both retail and wholesale.

Vincent will take the lead on providing the formulas and common sense tools retailers need to run a profitable business, while Herb will address some of the common mistakes retailers make. RSVP at CaraToday.com/events.
