Maclaren, a British manufacturer of strollers and other baby products, announced last week it has acquired the NettoCollection modern juvenile furniture company based in New York. The deal marks Maclaren’s entry into nursery furniture.

Dan Pennacchio, president of Maclaren USA, said NettoCollection was a good fit because it is well known for the quality, style and innovation of its products. He noted Maclaren will help expand the Netto product line, globalize its distribution and grow the brand into affiliated nursery product categories.

NettoCollection founder David Netto will remain with the brand and collaborate with Maclaren on future product offerings. “Being an iconoclast and innovator is a great way to begin, but becoming part of a company with international respect and stature is a great way to grow from small to big,” he said. “Maclaren is the perfect global brand to help the Netto brand achieve this.” Visit www.maclarenbaby.com.
