Cherokee’s Sideout Brands Licensed to Footwear

ACI International, a footwear manufacturer based in Los Angeles, has been tapped to produce kids’ footwear for Cherokee’s Sideout and Sideout Sport brands. According to Jay Kester, Cherokee’s executive vice president of marketing, the company is planning to have product to market in 2010. “We are currently in discussions with other premier manufacturers in specific categories in children’s, junior’s and young men’s,” he added. “In addition, we continue to explore opportunities in the performance segment of the market to complement ACI with our Sideout Sport brand.”

Van Nuys, Calif.-based Cherokee has licensing agreements for its other brands (which include Cherokee and Carole Little) in a number of categories, including family apparel, fashion accessories, footwear, home furnishings and recreational products. Visit www.cherokeegroup.com and www.aciint.com.
