To honor NICU Awareness Month, and celebrate the 10th birthday of the MamaRoo infant seat, 4moms has with Project Sweet Peas, a nonprofit that supports families with newborns in intensive care. to donate $10,000 in mamaRoo4 infant seats to 10 NICUs across the country.

In its third year, the ‘Nominate a NICU’ program invites parents, families and hospital employees to share their stories about outstanding NICU care for the opportunity to become one of 10 hospital donation recipients.

“We’re excited to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the mamaRoo, which has comforted more than a million children around the world, by kicking off the third annual Nominate a NICU program,” says Gary Waters, CEO of 4moms. “It’s incredible to see the positive impact that NICU nurses and doctors have on families during this stressful time, and we’re thankful to be able to give back to these hospitals.”

The mamaRoo infant seat is currently used in more than 375 hospitals across the country. “[The MamaRoos] are essential for our babies,” explains Dr. Jennifer Humphries, neonatal nurse practitioner at Druid City Hospital  in Tuscaloosa, AL, a 2019 donation recipient. “It not only supports growth and development; it provides comfort,”

Nominations will be accepted through Sept. 30. Recipient hospitals will be selected based on submission stories, number of nominations and the ability to donate/deliver to the hospital.
