Native Shoes Taps New President

Former Lululemon executive Kyle Housman joins the Canadian brand.

Vancouver, British Columbia-based Native Shoes today named Kyle Housman the footwear brand’s new president, succeeding Darren Hawrish, who occupied the position for the last four years. Housman hails from Lululemon where he led the Canadian athletic brand’s Australian expansion. Hawrish will remain with Native in an advisory capacity on the “beast-free” (Native Shoes does not harm animals in the creation of its product and is PETA-approved vegan certified) brand’s board of directors.

“I have long admired the Native brand,” says Housman. “It is fun, inclusive, thought- provoking and has always pushed the limits of design. The passion within the team is infectious and I am excited to be a part of a brand with so much opportunity in front of it.”

Housman will report to Native Shoes Owner and CEO Scott Hawthorn. “Kyle has an incredible reputation and the right mix of global experience to lead Native into our next phase of growth,” says Hawthorn. “We have exciting plans for the brand and incredible momentum; we believe Kyle will be instrumental to realizing our future and further spreading our ‘Keep it Lite’ message.”
