Last week, Lionsgate and LeapFrog Enterprises announced plans for four new animated films starring LeapFrog stars Leap, Lily and Tad. The movies, set to come out on DVD and in digital in 2014, will focus on new subject areas to help educate children. “We are thrilled to be growing our DVD entertainment portfolio with Lionsgate as a core strategy to build the LeapFrog brand as the leader in education entertainment,” says CEO of LeapFrog John Barbour. Lionsgate holds the distribution rights worldwide for digital and physical LeapFrog content. The two together have put out 12 animated feature films based on the LeapFrog characters.
