Last Friday, the multi-platform events and information services company announced its agreement to add ENK International to its line-up. Advanstar Global, whose programs already include Project, Magic, FN Platform, and Licensing International, will now incorporate ENK’s properties such as Fashion Coterie, Accessorie Circuit and Intermezzo into its event program. Advanstar Communications and ENK will be run separately, but ENK attendees will gain access to Advanstar’s “Shop the Floor” digital platform that will debut in 2013, giving customers the opportunity to shop an online marketplace. “Having ENK, Magic and Project within the same family of companies provides the fashion industry a choice of intimate and customized environments that satisfy their market needs,” says Joe Loggia, CEO of Advanstar Global. “This allows us to be more responsive to our customers as we work to coordinate dates and venues, which makes the process more valuable for exhibitors and retailers. Moreover, Advanstar Global has made significant investments in new technology that will enable our company to further drive value, service and solutions across the entire fashion marketplace.” Industry leaders are excited about what this alliance will mean to the fashion market. “The evolution of Magic, Project and ENK will form the most comprehensive collection of tradeshows serving every major fashion segment,” says GMM Menswear at Nordstrom, David Witman. “As retailers, we benefit from expanded access to all of the key brands, diversity of in-market offerings and a more impactful experience.
