Mud Pie Turns 30
The celebration will include updates to the company’s branding, distribution system and special services to retail partners.
Industry veteran Mud Pie is celebrating 30 years of business in the wholesale gift industry. When the company was first founded by Marcia Miller in 1988, it included three employees, ten terracotta figurines and a one page catalog printed at a local photo store. Today, Mud Pie boasts 160 employees and more than 13,000 home, kids and fashion items stocked on the shelves of over 16,000 specialty retailers and department stores worldwide.
Success has been noted over the years with six Earnie Awards, including Company of the Year in 2015 and 2016, two ICON awards and two mentions on the Inc. Magazine’s 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing, privately-held companies.
Along with celebrating 30 years, Mud Pie will be updating its logo and brand guidelines across all channels as well as bringing an automated distribution system to the warehouse in Spring 2018 which will increase the company’s distribution capacity and decrease its delivery times. This year will also see the launch of OneCoast Mud Pie Fashion Division, a specialized team of expert stylists to help retailers build the right assortment for their stores.
Best of all, during its success, Mud Pie has still made it a priority to give back including donating $650,000 to March of Dimes since March 2013 and $100,000 to the American Cancer Society in 2017 and 2018.
