Topsville to Produce Angelina Ballerina Apparel

HIT Entertainment has named Topsville as the U.S. master apparel licensee for Angelina Ballerina, the feisty little dancing mouse who dreams of being a prima ballerina, who debuted in children’s books and now headlines an animated series on PBS Kids. The New York-based manufacturer is launching the initial line of dance wear, tees, apparel sets and coordinated separates for Fall ’10 and plans to roll it out to additional retailers for Spring ’11.

“Topsville has a great design sensibility and understands well what today’s fashionable young girls want to wear,” said Gary Krakower, senior vice president of U.S. licensing for HIT Entertainment. “Girls will feel like a star just like Angelina Ballerina while wearing Topsville’s stylish designs, and parents will love the high-quality, trend-right pieces for their daughters.”

The collection will feature designs based on Angelina’s new CG-animated look seen in the current TV show “Angelina Ballerina, The Next Steps.” Topsville will also emphasize the fun and creativity of dance and stage performance, a leading theme of the show.
