Weston, Conn.-based La Folie returned to this week’s ENK Children’s Club show, marking its first time on the market after a yearlong hiatus. The brand, which offers whimsical but fashionable children’s knitwear accessories, is owned by Heather Borden Herve’ and Gayle Greenberger, who said retailers, reps and consumers had been asking about the label’s return. “It was flattering and encouraging to hear from so many people that we were missed,” Greenberger said. “We used an extended maternity leave as time to tighten up the line and focus on strengthening our manufacturing, to make sure we kept everyone consistently happy.”

The five-year-old company has also lowered the price points of its colorful handknit hats, scarves, mittens and gloves. “We dropped prices by $2 to $3 apiece, across the board,” said Borden Herve’, noting this measure will help La Folie grow its existing accounts as well as secure new retail partners. Wholesale prices now run approximately $9 to $20. For more information, call (877) LF-KNITS or visit www.lafolieknits.com.
